Yes, in fact, unlike most acid based systems, the SWICH system is a leave-on system. The active ingredient remains to provide continuous treatment for repair and restoration. Since tissue damage is minimal, repeated treatment can be performed at regular intervals without risk of over-treatment.Does this treatment cause peeling? A burning sensation may be experienced for about 2 minutes during the swich facial followed by minimal peeling depending on how far along you are in the series of facials and the condition of your skin. Some redness may result that will subside after a couple of hours. It is important to keep the skin well hydrated post treatment and wear sunscreen. About 50% of SWICH clients have experienced minimal peeling for one to four days post treatment.How is this different from glycolic acid? Unlike glycoli or lactic acids that cause the skin to slough, SWICH works by boosting the energy in the cell resulting in a more organized and denser collage and elastin matrix within the skin. This occurs gradually and results are based on initial skin condition.Can I continue to use Retin-A / Renova or other Vitamin A products?No, please discontinue use one month prior to treatment series and do not use for one month afterward.
